In this post I will explain how to make ready made health and wellness content unique to you and what you should look out for before purchasing them.
First, let’s back up a little bit. In a previous post I explained all the basic things you need to know about done-for-you contents in detail including types of done-for-you content, some ways you can use done-for-you content to build authority as a wellness entrepreneur, and the pros and cons of using them.
PS: I recommend you read it if you haven’t because it will help you understand this post better. I’ll wait
If you read that post you would see that done-for-you content is the same as PLR content, ready made content, pre-written content etc. and they can be used interchangeably.
Using done-for-you contents to increase productivity, stay consistent, save time and money amongst many other benefits is what thousands of wellness enterprenuers have swayed to lately.
Some PLR content providers may encourage you to use an article as it is but I think not because you risk having duplicate content and may get penalized for it, so it is in your best interest to tweak it before publishing on your blog. If you intend to use your article only on your email list you can surely use it as it is. However, a little personal touch/back story will go a long way to drive home your point.
Just before I dive into how you can customise articles and make them unique, you should know what to look out for before buying done-for-you PLR contents. In order not to invest in the wrong products and regret it
4 Things To Look Out For Before Buying A Done-For-You PLR Content.
1) Choose your content wisely
When choosing your content, you should choose one that aligns with your niche and brand and not just what is available. You want content (articles, auto-responder, ebooks etc.) that aligns with your audience/clients because you do not want to spend money on something your readers do not find useful. You need a return on investment so choosing wisely is very important.
2) Check the quality-see previous work by the PLR provider
Is there actual palpable proof? Just before you jump for you joy after seeing a site with exactly the ready made health and wellness content you need, you need to verify the quality of content they produce. Some done-for-you content providers give out a free sample of their work but in cases where they isn’t one, you can read some of their blog posts to get the hang of things. If they are producing quality content that is helpful to you on their blog, then they are more inclined to produce the same quality of premium contents for you. But if they have haphazard blog contents then that only shows you how low the quality of article they have for sale will be.
3) Ensure that it is not sold to an unlimited number of people
Most done-for-you contents are sold to hundreds of people. Sometimes even thousands. Trust me, you don’t want what everyone has! Look out for content from providers who cap their sale at a given number just so every health and wellness entrepreneur out there doesn’t have to purchase the same content with you.
In our shop we sell our ready-made content to a maximum of 20 people. The least you can find anywhere!
4) Do not let the price fool you
Don’t let the price of a pre-written content fool you. It might look very cheap to lure you in and when you purchase it, it might not deliver all it promised.
We price our articles based on some factors. You would agree with me that writing out some topics are easier than writing others. In that regard we price them based on the time it takes to create them, word count, rarity of the topic, availability of research resources amongst other things while still putting our buyers in mind.
So the price isn’t always the first thing that should come to your mind when purchasing a readymade content. In fact, I think you should look at that last! Regardless of if you are buying from us or another done-for-you content provider it will help you actually like something before choosing if it looks too cheap or too expensive.
If you like something and it is too expensive, you might look out for coupon codes to make your contents even more affordable and a lot of ready to go content providers have this option. We do too and you’ll be wowed.
Now that you know the four most important things you should look out for before buying a pre-made content, you also need to know the amount of rewriting you have to do to make your content unique to you is entirely your decision but I want you to have content you are 100% proud of without anyone knowing who the original creator (even if it is one of us here on wellness keep. Especially if it is created by one of us) is because when you pay for something, it should be yours and you should enjoy the rights your investment provides. So here are some quick edits you can make to your contents to make them 100% unique.
Quick edits you can make to your readymade contents to make them unique to you
Bear in mind that these edits can be made to articles, blog posts, ebooks, auto-responder email series, coaching plans and basically any written health and wellness content.
1) Change the title
We have a list of 100+ blog post title templates that you can use in our free resource library. Subscribe to get access.
2) Rewrite the introduction
Always write your introduction. your introduction style should be in sync with your introduction style in other blog posts. There are recommended ways to write and introduction that will hook your readers and literally pull them down the page even when they are skimmers.
3) Rewrite all subheadings and re-arrange their positions
Using the subheadings in your content exactly how they are might not be a smart move. I recommend that you rearrange their positions and rewrite them. Now that should not scare you because rewriting it isn’t a big deal and wont take up to 10seconds per sub heading.
Exact Subheading of done-for-you article: How to start eat healthy right now
Your new subheading : Ways you can start eating healthy today OR Steps you can take to start eating healthy today
Like the title, what you are looking at with subheadings are synonyms. Find the synonyms of a word or two in the
follow-come pre-written subheading. Or other variations of the subheadings and use them to replace the ones in your content.
4) Rewrite some paragraphs to make it sound more like you
Write the way you talk. When writing a PLR article, I make sure to remove myself from the equation and leave it without personality so that there’s room for you to put in your personality, every good done-for-you content provider does this too.
So publishing an article without making it sound like you leaves it blad because there’s a gap for you to feel in and humanize/personalise your content that is left blank.
5) Take out some parts you can do without or merge two articles together to make one comprehensive one
If you purchase an article, you might not need some of the information included and you can delete those parts. Alternatively, you can combine two complementing articles or more to make a longer and more detailed article or blog post and that will make your content even better.
6) Add your own personal story/knowledge
Adding your personal story or knowledge to your ready-made content makes all the difference. No two people have the same back story and that may be all the personal touch you need to make your content unique.
7) Add branded images at strategic points
Emphasis on “BRANDED”. Do not just take photos and upload them with your text. Take the time to brand them with your brand colours and domain name to make them more of your own. You can easily brand your images with free Canva.
All my images on this blog are branded with canva and just incase you do not have high quality images to use, I have a list of 80+ sites where you can get free photos to use on your blog in the free resource library for subscribers.
8) Link your post to other complementing contents on your blog
After a while of writing in a particular niche, you will have contents that complement each other and can leverage the opportunity of linking to them. It’s a win-win. You get your readers to spend more time on your blog, you drive traffic you your old posts and make your content blend in more like you wrote it yourself
9) Include a clear call to action
Every good blog post should have a clear call to action. After reading your post, tell your reader the next step to take. it might be to subscriber to your blog, leave you a comment, download your free guide, join your FREE or paid online webinar/ecourse.
10) Run your article through a plagiarism checker
After tweaking your ready-made articles with the steps listed above I recommend that you run it through a plagiarism checker. A plagiarism checker helps you detect if you have customised your post enough to make it unique.
E.g smallseotools.com: It doesn’t save your search results so no one will see what you entered into the search bar and you can search as many as 1000words at once. You’ll get a percentage of how unique your article is and know the exact sentences to rewrite.
Customizing done-for-you content is a very essential part of building authority. There are some cases where you do not need to customize at all especially when you are using them for you ebook or email. But if you are going to publish them on your blog or website, I highly recommend you make these quick edits. It takes 30 minutes or less to get content that would have taken you much more time to create.
Visit our shop of high value PLR products that you can purchase, brand as your own and publish on your own blog/website to build authority. We have articles, content cheat sheets, auto-responders and ebook templates but we are not selling to a multiple of people.
